Day 15 prompt tape
Here is my completed project. I love it.
Day 5. I didn't get to finish today. Fridays are our family night / date nights. We spend time and do stuff with the kids and after bedtime my 16 year old watches them while we go out for date night. Self-care comes in many forms and this one is important for me. BUT, I have everything ready to work on tomorrow morning before my kids wake up.
My take away from this challenge is just to have fun, experiment with mediums, if you don't like something you can always cover it up.....and it only takes a few minutes a day to create something beautiful.
I will post my pic once everything is completed tomorrow!
Day 5. I finished my project with a collection of bits and pieces from on my desk! And then some gold splatters!
My take away from this class....a few minutes every day and a completed project...a sense of accomplishment!! This was so much fun, thank you Kassy!!!
Day 5 completed project my greatest take away is to just dive in and start anywhere and enjoy the journey on the way to completion (although is there really completion as sometimes it can just be a starting point onto something else)
Day 5
AJAdventurers & JG this one’s for you!!!
My biggest takeaway is I can have fun creating cool stuff without overthinking or spending a ton of time.
Day 5! We made it! I hope you had as much fun as I did this week. Join me tomorrow morning to find out if you are the winner ! What I took away from this challenge is that while we have different styles of art and approaches to art, we often have similar issues and struggles. AND we ALL have 10 minutes in our day to be creative and make ourselves a priority. I am so proud of each of you for making yourself a priority this week and sticking with me. You are all amazing and I love you.
Day 5 of our daily challenge. So much funThank you Kass! I learned that it’s ok to start putting down texture or color. (don’t over think it,) my project will evolve. And at the end it will be amazing. (At lest to me)😊😊
Day 5. This was so much fun. I challenge myself every morning for 10 minutes. I craft through the day but for 1 project I only spend 10 minutes. What i got out of this challenge is that I don't need to stress and find time to do art. I can spend as little or as much time as I want
Excellent! So perfect. I loved your takeaway and project. So great that you are going to keep going with it.
Daily creative practice day 4 added gesso, triangles showing design I seem to craft more in the pm also my challenging supply is embossing powder as it never seem to turn out on first try
Day 4. I used a flower shape and painted white acrylic paint around it. Debating a second coat, but kinda like the soft color showing in the background.
I tend to avoid spray inks because I can never seem to use the correct pressure and usually overspray and make a mess! During the winter I was spending five minutes in my craft room (usually practicing with watercolors) before work...really early. It started my day off on a happy note! Now I craft more at night.
Day 3. I used a piece of white tissue that had some gold paint on it, and stamped on the tissue before adding it to my canvas. Sorry, I missed Wednesday and Thursday's live...I was out of town.
Lately, I've been using watercolors and stencils and then cutting the shapes out to use for future journal pages! I do this alot when I don't know what to make.
Day 4. Surprise....I used my silhouette cameo to cut out my shape lol. And I used a milky white paint. I love it.
My least favorite art supply...well maybe least favorite is not the right phrase....my most challenging art supply is embossing powder. I never heat it right...always too much or too little. But I want to love using it and I have tons of it...and I keep trying regardless.
Day4 should have made my flowers bigger. But looks kinda cool. using spray is my biggest issue, either get to much spray or not enoug. and then it all blends and well, it just gets messy.
Day 4. The Art supply I struggle with the most is oil paint. Mainly because I’m just starting to learn how to use it. I love creating at night when it’s quiet and still.
Day 4. Rubber stamps on wooden blocks and trying to place them exactly where you want them. Blending alcohol markers are a struggle too. Night time crafting is my thing during the week. One day on a weekend is preferable too. :)
Yikes, wish I had used white!
used a diamond shaped like the leaves that are mostly covered up now! I actually went in & wiped abit of the Marine paint off.
not sure I struggle with a specific supply - unless you want to call the color yellow a supply!
I prefer crafting in the morning after I have done my walk.
I LOVE this, Dawn...and your yellow looks more like chartreuse, if that makes you like it better 😂
Day 4. My next one will be much brighter. Lost most of my colour. I love doing this. I should have made a different shape.
I struggle with gel plate layers. I get confused about the order
Day 3. Ok full disclosure. I started over. But only because I'm doing a journal cover and I realized I wouldn't have been able to bind it correctly with the modeling paste on the seams.
My favorite art supply is my Silhouette Cameo. As a licensed Silhouette instructor I find myself wanting to use it for everything. I'm trying to branch out and create without using it.....it's not as easy as it seems..lol
Day 3 creative practice Added some floral tissue Not sure yet if I want to stamp on it I have some stamps in mind but I want to see what Day 4 brings before my final decision This is still a little wet so I hope I like it better when it dries My favorite item for craft is stencils The sky is the limit when using stencils because you can use so many other supplies with them Victoria Ode
Day 3. My favorite Art supply is Art sprays! I’m totally addicted.
Day 3- used my own hand carved stamp on tissue paper & added small bits of stamped marks.
My go to supply has to be tissue/collage papers….love, love, love to collage!
Day 3. My go to is Posca pens for outlining or doodles. I love stencils and especially Kassy’s Parlour stencils from the art journal adventure boxes.
Day3 of the 10 minute daily challenge. Answer to your question what is my go supply is fresco finish chalk acrylics by paper Artsy. They are so easy to use and I love blending the color.
Day 3. I used a napkin and stamped tissue paper. The Sprays bled thru making it darker than I wanted but I like it. My favorite and the product I reach for changes, as for the last bit, I grab stencil butter.
Daily creative practice day 2 ink sprays My obstacle to crafting is deciding what to do I seem to need a specific project rather than just doing something
Day 2 adding color. My biggest obstacle is I have many supplies but I never seem to know how to apply them. And never seem to have the right one.
When we started the daily creative practice I decided to also take 10 minutes in the morning to work on a project. Im up very early and thought what a great way to start the day. Yesterday morning I covered box board with black gesso and then I used a stamp. This morning I used a stencil with stencil butter. For the shoes I used metallic gilding wax. I going to use both pieces to create a journal
Day 2. My biggest obstacle to being creative is being overwhelmed with too many ideas I want to try and getting stuck.
Day 2. Used ink sprays. My biggest challenge is my kids...lol. I have 3 under 6 years old so they need constant interaction from me when they are home
Day 2
Grabbed acrylic inks cause I always forget to use them. I’m in a drip mode lately…..sooo happy so far!
Biggest obstacle for me to create is that I’m afraid my project won’t turn out good,….like I always have a need to make something bigger & better!
Day 2 of daily creative practice. I like how this turned out. My biggest problem is deciding what to make. This 10 minutes helps. I can start and even change my ideas half way through it.
Day 2. My biggest obstacle to create art is time and focus. At times I have too many ideas or not enough. I am trying to change the focus by using books with themes for journaling.
Victoria Ode day 1 creative challenge Wanted to do this just for fun
I am tech challenged! I wrote a few sentences and they aren't posted! So this is my first challenge day...I'm using a small canvas with one of Kassy's stencils! I really want to get back to daily art and Kassy's enthusiasm makes it so much fun!!!
Day 1. I hope to learn a habit of spending a little bit more time for daily art. Using a extra large tag, TCW gold gesso (yes, Robin, gold lol) and Kassy’s Parlour Sacred Circles stencil One of my favorite stencils
Day 1. I'm doing a journal cover. I'm on a journal kick lately. I just need to learn to actually carve out time every day to create something....or part of something
Day 1 of the DCP! I hope to learn more about each of your needs in the creative space and how I can help you!
1st day. Thank you for the fun. I want to learn to treat myself to art every single day. You make that possible
Here’s my start for week!
oops forgot to answer question- I hope I can learn & create a habit that allows me to work in snippets of time rather than marathon sessions!
I love this Robin!
